From sexy steaks and burgers, an eastside dog park and beer garden, to the return of a beloved restaurant, here are the new places to know now
As we say goodbye to the long days of Detroit summer, we’re reminded that there’s so much on the horizon in terms of new food and drink options. The region has seen a flood of new coffee shops swing open their doors in recent months, expansions of beloved local eateries, and a growing number of coastal Italian-inspired restaurants. That trend continues, in particular in Core City, where chef Kate Williams is gearing up to resurrect Lady of the House in Core City, Barda’s Javier Bardauil is launching the casual Puma Detroit (from Barda’s Javier Bardauil), and Symantha Duggan and Rob Wilson working to restore an old bank building into Vesper Books and Wine.
